The Deep Deceit Book Launch Tour Continues!

It was a busy launch week for Deep Deceit. I'm thrilled to report that on the second day of the Kindle give away, it landed on the Top 10 Amazon Best Seller List on Amazon.ca for mystery and suspense!

The tour cranked up and if you missed any of the stops, here's a re-cap of where we've been so far:

Book Readers Heaven
 - kicked off the tour on March 8th.
Thank you Glenda Bixler for your launch day review. If you like to peruse reviews to find your next good read, definitely put this blog on your favorites list! She's started to review poetry too :)

Arabian Tales and Other Amazing Adventures - March 10th
It's always a pleasure to visit this blog by travel writer and blogger, Katie Foster. Stop by and see what she has to say about Deep Deceit and hang out for a while and get lost in her adventures.

Retired? No one told me! - March 11
A quick plug from friend and fellow Phuket Writer, Carol Taylor. More to come!

Morgen Bailey's Writing Blog - March 12
Prolific blogger, author and writing guru, Morgen Bailey, welcomed me to do a guest blog during the tour so I wrote about how I approached the character development for my 'evil antagonist' Ryan.

Ask David - March 14
The latest stop is at Ask David, a wonderfully comprehensive book promotion/review platform. I've written a blurb that talks about how the idea for Deep Deceit was sparked by the inspiration-rich environment I was surrounded by while living in Dubai.

The tour continues and I'll update you here weekly! If you'd like to join the tour (do a review of Deep Deceit, do an interview or host a guest blog from me) or have any questions about setting up a virtual book tour for your book, just ask away in the comment section below or send me a message!

When you travel to Peru you will likely arrive in Lima the capital city. From Lima you have a variety of options to which other places you would be interested in traveling to Peru. Cusco for example is one of the most frequented destinations when tourists travel o Peru, It is the access point to many Andes treks and tours, it is also where you must go when planning to visit the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu.

Guest Blog - Mari Barnes, Author of My Peace Place

I'm very pleased to host Mari Barnes today as part of her virtual book tour for her book, My Peace Place. Mari is participating in D'Vorah Lansky's Book Marketing Boot Camp , which is where we 'met'. Take it away Mari! Eye on the Why I read this recent post from a discouraged new author: My friends don't seem very excited about my new book. Does no one read anymore? I've sold 4 whole copies so far. That did more than ring a bell—it set a gong clanging in my mind. I remember those days too well. Some friends and family weren’t even reading gift copies of my book, much less actually spending money to support me. It created a hollow feeling unlike anything I can adequately describe but despair, disappointment and betrayal all come close. How could they not understand how important this is to me? Haven’t I bought every Girl Scout cookie--supported every sport, church and school fundraiser? When little Cindy Lou was selling crocheted key rings, who boug...

New Year... New Mission - Self Publish Mental Pause!

This image courtesy of suphakit73 at freedigitalphotos.net What a wonderful day yesterday with family gathered together reminiscing about 2012 and talking about what's in store for 2013.  The next generation of my family are just the type of young adults who are going to change the world!  Really... I'm not biased... they're brilliant!  Okay, maybe just a little but I'm allowed to be a proud auntie, especially since I don't have children of my own. Anyway... During the past year, I had some great projects to work on, including assisting in the launch of the corporate division of 'embers of the world' as well as working with the Dubai office of DBM as they merged with Lee Hecht Harrison (as of January they will be LHH Gulf ). I also started on my journey to find an agent for my for my first novel, Mental Pause and it's been a year now.  I've had a little interest, many asking for the first few chapters and one NY agent who actually asked to ...

Author Interview: Jack Scott, Turkey Street and Perking the Pansies

Jack Scott, author and publisher, Springtime Books This week I'm so thrilled to welcome Jack Scott to Writing...Just Because to share his author journey and a few words of advice. Jack is the author of   Turkey Street - Jack and Liam move to Bodrum , t he sequel to the best-selling memoir Perking the Pansies - Jack and Liam move to Turkey . Here's a little taster of Turkey Street... Six months into their Turkish affair, Jack and Liam, a gay couple from London, took lodgings in the oldest ward of Bodrum Town. If they wanted to shy away from the curtain-twitchers, they couldn’t have chosen a worse position. Their terrace overlooked Turkey Street like the balcony of Buckingham Palace and the middle-aged infidels stuck out like a couple of drunks at a temperance meeting. Against all the odds, the boys from the Smoke were welcomed into the fold by a feisty mix of eccentric locals and a select group of trailblazing expats, irresistible ladies with racy pasts and pluck...
